Anagram Challenge
Letters: —
1Aim of the Game
Using only the letters shown, type as many valid words of three letters or more as you can before the 90-second timer runs out.
2How to Play
Click "Start Round" to begin. Type a word using only the available letters (each letter can only be used as many times as it appears) and press Enter or click Submit.
3Scoring
Each valid word earns points equal to its letter count — a three-letter word scores 3 points, a six-letter word scores 6, and so on. Longer words are worth chasing.
4Time Limit
Each round lasts 90 seconds. When the timer hits zero, your final score is locked in and you can start a fresh round with a new letter set.
Strategy for a higher anagram score
- Bank a few short, safe words immediately — three-letter words are quick points and keep your streak alive early.
- Once the easy words are done, look for longer combinations that use less common letters, since they're worth more points.
- Say the letters in your head in a few different orders — this often surfaces words you wouldn't spot just by staring at the jumble.
- Don't overthink a single long word for too long — grabbing two medium words is often faster than hunting for one big one.
Why timed anagram games sharpen your vocabulary
Working against a clock forces your brain to access vocabulary quickly rather than deliberating slowly, which is a genuinely different — and useful — mental skill from untimed puzzles. Regular practice with anagram-style games has long been used as an informal way to build word fluency and quick recall.
